Buenos dias team managers, here’s your week 5 summary and week 6 lookahead.
π ΏοΈower Rankings
1. Deshaun’s Happy Endings (5-0) β
My team is the last remaining undefeated squad, leaving me at the top of the food chain. With 20+ pt weeks back-to-back, RB1 Chubb and RB5 Henry have proven to be the best first picks in the top 2 rounds (sugma Ross). Andrews has been an amazing TE2 as well with 23 pts this week.
2. ElJefe2198 (3-2) πΊ1
Bryan came into MNF with a measly 70 pts with his skill players yet to play. Each of them provided 30pts each, propelling him to a win and this week’s top scorer. If Tua comes back soon, Bryan could score 180 points in the future with some production from Waddle.
3. Lights, Camera, Jackson (4-1) π»1
After losing Javonte Williams for the season last week, Christian’s team only managed to put up 115 pts this week. Not having a reliable WR2/Flex is going to be a tough thing to overcome for the rest of the season, so a trade might be necessary to provide some depth.
4. Shaffy’s Shooters (3-2) β
Surprisingly, Shaffman’s team was able to manage a win this week with little help from the WR room, managing onlys 18pt from WR1/2. A career week from Lenny Fournette and a fantastic performance from Hurts lifted his team to victory.
5. Trummieee (2-3) πΊ1
Even though Javi lost this week, he still put up 139 pts after Allen/Davis did unholy things to the PIT secondary in only 30 mins. With no other skill player surpassing 12 pts, BC2198 managed to steal the win on MNF. I see Mixon and Chase improving in the next four weeks with favorable defensive matchups.
6. I Cum Swiftly (3-2) π» 1
Swift’s absence has wrecked havoc on the RB room for Ross’s team, opting to start Jamaal Williams instead of Breece Hall, who teared my Dolphins a new asshole on Sunday. T-Law is confirmed NOT HIM, and Tee Higgins also decided to hang up the jersey to apply for Krispy Kreme, putting up a hot donut this week. 113 pts is just not gonna cut it on a weekly basis, but with proper management of his team Ross can leap up in the standings soon.
7. ATL Boof Burners (2-3) πΊ2
Nick Folk looked like Steph Curry in NE this weekend, wetting 5FG/2XP and providing 18 pts to the Boof Burners. As expected, Jason’s skill players popped off against shitty secondaries, giving him an upset win this week. However, I don’t see this being sustainable, so I’m still in doubt with the validity of this squad. For now, he gets a deserved boost in the rankings.
8. 2 Girls 1 Kupp (1-4) π»1
Martin had a very eventful weekend, but managing a fantasy win was not on the agenda, unfortunately. Electing to bench Kamara due to his questionable status proved to be costly, leaving 20 pts on the bench. With players in inconsistent offenses like ATL and JAX, there will be bad weeks undoubtedly.
9. The Abbolievers (1-4) π»1
KIRKTOBER has begun, but the rest of the Abbolievers sans CMC did not get the memo. With the DAL defense managing more pts than the team’s TE/FLEX/K COMBINED, Malik’s team was largely absent this week. Hopkins’ return in Week 7 may be a much needed boost for the struggling squad.
10. Israeli Habibis (1-4) β
With JT already out for injury, Simon slotted in Rashad Penny to the RB1 spot, who in turn had a likely season-ending injury in Week 5. The Jags struggled mightily at home, with Ettiene and Kirk combining for 16 pts. If Taylor returns to his 2021 form, Simon’s team will have a shot at a win each week.
π¨ UPSET OF THE WEEK π¨ Record: 1-0
Last Week: ATL BOOF BURNERS vs LIGHTS, CAMERA, JACKSON β
As told by Zivstradamus himself, Kelce popped off for 4 TDs and Cook had 26 pts as well. Jason ended up ending Christian’s undefeated streak with a top 3 scoring week.
This Week: 2 GIRLS 1 KUPP (1-4) vs. ELJEFE2198 (3-2)
Even though Bryan is missing his Raiders players this week, his projected lineup is still slightly favored against Martin. Waddle’s QB situation is shaky, and with Brady playing PIT and Kupp playing CAR, I expect 30 PT performances from both. Look for a Martin win this week.
π WEEKLY LOCK π Record: 1-0
Last Week:
Jason ML (+180): Won β
TRUMMIEEE O127.5 (-110): 139pts β
This Week:
Christian ML (-170): JJettas and Deebo gonna cook my Dolphins and the Falcons
Shaffman U128.5 (-110): The Eagles play an improved DAL defense, so I don’t see them putting up amazing numbers.
$20 to win $41 (+204)
Like last week, I’m willing to bookie this bet at $20 maximum, first come first serve.
Good luck this week ladies.
